Surely by now, you've seen the comeback of the denim jacket. Some of you might have been eager to pull your jacket out of the dusty corners of your high school closet, while others might have cringed with memories of the over perfumed hollister phase we shamefully admit to. The truth is, the past few years, denim has been coming back in other cooler ways than the jacket. And of course, how can we forget our beloved chambray/denim shirts--our newest best friend in layering? When I started to see the denim jacket coming back, I at first cringed with memories of middle school, but then started to see an opportunity arise. Instead of making the denim jacket a focal point in our outfits, why don't we just treat it as another layering piece like our chambray shirts? It is winter, we can do with warmer layers, and there is something about those big metal buttons that my chambray shirt just can't always suffice. So here it is, a new way to wear your old denim jacket--under another jacket. Make sure to not wear denim on the bottom, avoid your matchy matchy urge.
